CLIMATE ACTION

We are committed to having a positive carbon impact on a longer-term journey to net-zero by 2045. As a first milestone, we will reduce our emissions* by 50% by 2030 and contribute to accelerate our transition to net zero by investing in permanent carbon removals.

*Reduce absolute greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 50% against our 2018 baseline, across all scopes, and remove the remainder of CO2e from the atmosphere through credible capture and removal technology, on our journey to net-zero, aligned with the Science Based Targets commitment of our parent company.

MEASUREMENT & REPORTING

We have measured our carbon footprint across scopes 1, 2 and 3 (all direct and indirect emissions from our value chain) since 2017. We have developed an emissions reduction roadmap to meet our ambitious target, and are focusing to reduce high impact areas of our business, such as transportation, packaging, and goods and services. We will publish a detailed account of our emissions annually from 2024.

REDUCTION VERSUS REMOVAL

Our primary ambition will always be to reduce our impacts wherever possible. We will only compensate what we cannot reduce by participating in credible carbon removal programmes on the road to net zero. Our removal roadmap and anticipated solutions will be further clarified in 2024.

SCIENCE-BASED TARGETS INITIATIVE (SBTi)

Aligned with our parent company Beiersdorf’s public climate targets – which have been validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) – we have aligned our emissions reduction strategy and goals to limit global warming to 1.5°C  in line with the Paris Agreement.
